Revelation Reversed from Rejection: Seeing What God Is Really Doing

Rejection Isn’t What You Think: When God Is Revealing, Repositioning, Redirecting You…

We don’t just react to situations, we react from places such as our wounds, from our hearts, our habits (healthy or unheahlty), hang-ups and experiences. And if we’re honest, many of our reactions today are rooted in experiences from yesterday and the many yesterday’s before that.

There have been times throughout my life, I have experienced rejection in ways that left a deep imprint on my heart and soul. That wound didn’t just stay in the past, it shaped how I viewed change, relationships, and even opportunities. When something didn’t work out, I didn’t just see it as “closed doors”…

I felt rejected and out of that rejection came thoughts like: I’m not good enough. I failed. Something must be wrong with me.

That’s the power of a rejection wound. It doesn’t just hurt you once, it teaches you how to interpret everything moving forward.

The Hidden Power of Rejection

Over the last few years, I’ve been doing deeper work walking through wounds of rejection and abandonment, allowing God to meet me in those places.

And recently, I’ve been pressing in even more, asking: What is the real power of rejection?

Because rejection, if left unhealed, has the ability to shape your identity, your thoughts, your emotional responses and your decision-making, It becomes a lens and whatever lens you look through… becomes your reality.

We’ve all heard the phrase: “Rejection is God’s Redirection.” But if I’m honest, that phrase never fully landed for me, until recently.

Last week, I found myself in a place of asking God for wisdom, discernment, and deliverance.

I prayed a simple but intentional prayer: “God, open my eyes to see, my ears to hear, my heart to receive, and my mind to understand what You are revealing to me.”

I walked into a situation with that posture; Not defensive, Not guarded, Not reactive, But open to hear, to see, to listen. AND God revealed it!!!

Ya know: Isaiah 50:4 says:

“The Sovereign Lord has given me a well-instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary. He awakens me morning by morning, awakens my ear to listen like one being instructed.”

That scripture came alive to me in a new way that day, because I realized something: God is always speaking but we don’t always listen from a healthy place.

The Revelation: I Was Seeing Rejection Backwards

As I processed the confirmations God gave me over the next few days, one truth became clear: I had been seeing rejection completely backwards. I was interpreting situations, from my wounds, from my past hurts and from my human perspective

Instead of seeing them from my spirit, from God’s perspective, from a place of healing and identity in God. which is ….

I wasn’t being rejected, I was being repositioned. God Reveals Before He Redirects let me say this again;

God will reveal something to you before He redirects you from it.

Why?

So that when you walk away, you don’t carry, confusion, offense, or rejection!

Instead, you carry, clarity, peace and confidence in His direction and that’s not rejection…That’s Deliverance.

Flipping the Script

When you begin to see the wounds of rejection through God’s lens, everything changes.

Instead of asking:

Why didn’t they choose me? Why didn’t this work out?

You begin to ask:

God, what are You protecting me from? Where are You leading me instead?

What are You revealing to me in this moment?

You stop internalizing rejection… And start recognizing it as a redirection.

Healing doesn’t mean situations stop happening. It means they stop defining you.

When you are rooted in who God says you are, rejection doesn’t shake your identity, closed doors don’t diminish your worth, redirection doesn’t feel like abandonment

Because you know: that you are not being rejected; it is God revealing, realigning, and repositioning you.

A New Perspective to Walk In

So if you’re in a season where things aren’t working out the way you expected…Pause before you label it rejection.

Ask God: Open my eyes to see this the way You see it.Open my ears to hear what You’re saying.Help my heart receive truth, not lies.

Because what feels like rejection…isactually God’s protection and re-positioning you to something new. (next mission)

Final Thought…….

I don’t know where you are today, my friend. But I do know this:

God has a purpose. God has a plan. When our plan A has not worked out, don’t fret for that is when God’s plan will kick in if we allow HIM too. He is always working; even in what doesn’t make sense……

One last question, What if the very thing you thought was rejection…is the very thing God is using to set you free?
